I’m talking about for recurring monthly bills, such as cell phone bill, cable bill, water bill, etc. We always keep the portion of the bill that you don’t return with payment, and on it, we write the amt. pd, date, and check # that was used to pay it. How long should we keep these? Because they are monthly bills, my filing cabinet gets a bit clogged up. Any better system and how long to keep? Thanks!
